Every week for 4 weeks, join us for a reading and/or activity featuring local authors and educators. Contact us if you have any questions. Drop-in events, registration is not required.
Friday May 13th at 1PM - Jim Raddysh
All ages at the United Church Meadow.
Enjoy Jim’s singing and entertainment with your little ones.
Friday May 20th at 1PM - Reed Ossler
Ages 2-7 at Mouat's Park meadow.
Enjoy a nature-reflection with environmental educator Reed Ossler, of the Salt Spring Conservancy.
Saturday May 28th at 1pm - Margriet Ruurs
Ages 9-12 in the Community Program Room at the library.
Margriet is a local children's author whose stories teach us about families and traditions from around the world. Join her in writing your own short poem and making a stone illustration to take home!
Friday June 3rd at 1PM - Isabelle Groc
Ages 5-10 in the Community Program Room at the library.
Learn about the changing environment and its impact on our world’s animals with author, activist and documentary maker Isabelle Groc.
The Family Literacy Festival is brought to you in a community partnership through Salt Spring Literacy, SD64 & Salt Spring Island Public Library. In case of rain, alternate indoor/sheltered spaces will be available.
